What Are Frags???

Sorry I'm new to the saltwater thing and I am trying to learn as much as possible. What are frags? And if you have any suggestions for sites that have good help with terms like these that would be great. But again, what are frags? Thanks for your help!

Frags = Fragments

cuts,chips,breakage, rubble,etc of live rock. You frag live rock to form a certain look, place in a different aquarium, create a new rock formation(s).The reasons are endless. Frags=fragments.

Just adding to what sof stated - coral frags are also what you get (most of the time) when you buy them from the local fish store. As in "I just picked up a new frag" today. The frag is a very small piece of coral that has been broken or cut from the original coral.

If you click on aquarium articles in the top tool bar it will drop down. Scroll down to the bottom and you will find an aquarium dictionary. Many of the terms you're looking for can be found there Such as: http://www.fishlore.com/fishdictionary/f.htm

Frags are also bits of coral you cut off a mother colony and regrow by yourself
