My cons spawned again and now the female and male are fighting. She stays over on the right side with the fry and he stays on the left. Whenever he looks at her or moves too close to the right she goes in and attacks him until he gets back to his side. He then puffs his gills and moves around his area.

Will they ever clam down? Is this normal?

all cichlids are different..some have success with con pairs, some dont...all my cons have always parented together...if they have injuries with such sparring, its not good..if its just the "im boss back off" kinda thing, you are ok....

i don't see injuries. she just comes over and they roll once or twice and she swims away. i can't understand why they were good with the first spawn and now they are going crazy.
