hello my convicts layed eggs and now have 2 week old fry .. the father tho gets attacked by the female and pushed to the top of the tank if he gets anyweres near the fry ... is this normal?

not usually normal..but what size tank and are there other fish in there? most of the time both parents will raise the fry and protect to death ..or at least in my cons they have

they are alone in a 30 gallon with 20 fry at the most

shes a meanie then...id move him out or put a divider in ....all my pairs have always taken care of the kids..but i know bolivianbaby's cons sometimes dont play nice in the family circle

alrighty im gonna watch them real clos and if it looks like its not gonna cut back any ill move him out

My Kribs have to be separated if I let them keep their fry, The Male drives the female away after a few days, so she always has to come out.
