Hey Everyone again! I got a quick question about my convicts.
Ok so yesterday i painted a piece of cardboard black to put on the back of my tank on the outside, and when i put it on i guess my convicts thought there tank grew lol and for like 15min they were right up to the glass trying to swim toward the blackness (not like slamming into the glass or anything) but didnt let up so i got kinda scared that they might hurt themselfs or something so i took it off. and then they acted fine. so about 2 hours later i put it back up thinking that maybe they just didnt get use to it and left it on for about an hour. and for that entire hour they did the exact same thing as before so i took it off again. any ideas on what i could do? because the black background makes my tank look so much better.

Put up the black background. They'll get used to it and they won't hurt themselves.

just leave it they'll get used to it. I have a black background and sometimes the fish are like... i have a twin who keeps following me!

Lol ok so last night I up it back up and they did the same thing and about 2 or 3 hours later they were still swiming like they did last time but i guess they were getting really aggravated and then the female punched the male right in the eye lol! so his eye swelled up, but when i checked on him this morning the swelling was gone. but they eventually got used to it lol. Thank you all for the help!
