when convicts breed is it normal for them to lip lock for a long period of time

Most Cichlids lip lock, heres a pic of my Blue Acaras the other day. Keep an eye on it, but if theres no damage being done to either fish then don't worry about it.

well you can see were their faces have been scraped a little but no fins are ripped.

They should be fine then. The important thing is that theres no other damage.

right =p but what i did do is the female that i showed you the other day was my newest female i had and older female about a year or two old i beleave i put that female with the other two convicts and the male and older female imeadiatly started to show breeding habits. so the younger smaller female was ditched so i went out and bought her a male the same size and i am setting them up their own tank as i speak =]
