Yes, that's a female convict. One of my female cons was a "super-chaser", too. I had to take her out of the tank, re-aquascape, and then put her in last to calm her down. Lots of hiding places will help a lot. Keep us posted

Sorry for the bad pics i dont realy have a good camera. They have alot of hiding places tho. i got a big center peice of driftwood where the one in the pic likes to hide in there but i also have rock cave and another peice of drift wood and lots of fake plants. the other convict looks like a female with the orangish belly but her colors look so much better than the one in the pic and she is the one getting chaced. my water paremeters are great and they are eating like crazy, i thought 2 females would be fine together, atleast thats what i have been told.

Convicts have the typical "cichlid" personality. Whether or not they get along really depends on the individual fish.

However, taking them out, switching things in the tank around, and then re-adding them to the tank, aggressive one last, can sometimes "trick" them into getting along since it turns the tank into neutral territory. If that doesn't work, you may have to return the aggressive one to the store and try to find one that is more laid back.

Not a problem My female tried to kill a male I put in with her, then I re-aquascaped the tank, and she's now spawned fry twice with the same male she tried to kill

Ok so when I got home from work yesterday, I took out my aggresive convict and left the other one in my tank and Re-Aquascaped and let my non aggresive convict get use to its new setup and get confotable for about an hour and a half.(my non aggresive convict seemed alot happier, swiming around freely with no worries. Then i added my aggresive one back and she went right back chasing the mellow one. What should I do now? Im scared that the aggresive one is going to stress my mellow one to death! Should i take him back to my LFS? Anyone have any suggestions?

Oh Yea! I forgot to mention that the aggresive convicts color has got very dark, but it dose not look like any pics of a convict i have ever seen. Her belly is still orange but under her mouth is almost a shiny blue color and her fins have almost turned black and her body has just gotten darker and you can barely see the outline of the stripes.

Hmmm...is it possible to post pics of your tank and her all colored up?

You could take her back and try another one. If she's really dark, she's probably going into spawning mode and cichlids (convicts especially) are EVIL during spawning. They also change colors with their moods. Some of us have to separate ours every once in a while to allow them to chill out a bit.
