What will make two 6" Oscars cower in the corner of a tank??

Yes, there are AT LEAST 200 Con fry in my Oscar tank. NO IDEA how they managed this. The pleco didn't get the eggs & the Oscars aren't eating the fry. I was completely amazed when my boyfriend told me that there were like 200 babies in my tank. I thought he was joking. Nope....

I just gave my LFS about 60 fry that I had from my last spawn. So we'll see how long these ones survive. Once they're really swimming by themselves, I think the Oscars will eat most of them. Who knows. They're such utter push-overs. It's sad actually.

awesome job!! my 12 inch boys didnt stand a chance to my 2 inch cons in breeding mode lol...they are tough fish for sure! one of the smallest fish with the most attitude... only thing is, make sure the oscars have enough space to get away because banging into the tank at that size, could be disaster...and any decorations that stick up or are hard and big, the oscars could get hurt trying to get away...cons do not play nice with anyone as you know and arent afraid of anything ...get some pics when you can!!
