not to hyjack but shawnie how colored up should a con male be? clyde seems to color up then partly color his stripes they are back in spawning behavior im asking cause you bred um lol and gratz tony i have a new baby con also i should upload yours makes me want a pink lol

the stripped cons will go from all black, to pure white with black stripes, to gray with black stripes...depending on their moods/ breeding behavoir/stress...as far as what they should be, who knows as they change constantly..as long as your water parimeters are right on, and theres plenty of tank for what you have in there, id not worry....

hmmm IMO that is not a con..but a mix of something...too round of a belly area and the finnage isnt the same as my pure pink...its so hard to identify them since the jellys have come out.. want me to post pics here for you to compare or send in a pm? that way you can look in your tank and make a decision yourself....

jelly cons do not get as big as parrots....about 5-6 inches max...but again, I have an almost 7 inch pure striped con LOL so exceptions to every rule

compare the pics and see which yours looks like...ive never heard of an albino parrot maybe ken has...but your fish definately has some con in him so dont think hes a purebred parrot either

he is deffiantly not a pure pink con. Their dorsal and lower fins are long while mine are plump and rounded ish while being pointed.

After seeing Shawnie's pictures I agree that it's a Jelly Parrot

or Jelly Bean Parrot so many names these days.
