well i was curious why one of them is less then half the size of the other and what would be a proper breeding pair tank size if i were to buy them they have had 2 spawns of fry they have one group in its own tank and then in their tank they have new fry so its a proven pair !!

My one pair is a 5 in. female & a 2 in. male.
Just out of curiosity, where in NY are you?
I have a proven pair of blacks that I would be willing to give to you.
They are 3 in. and are raising fry now.

I have my one pair that I'm keeping in a 20 gal. They are raising about 100 fry.
I have the other pair in my 55 gal. community. They are young, and are raising their first spawn, about 20 fry.
