Wierd Things !!!

Well today i was online and around my LFS and i was talking about my convict cichlids.
WELL !!! i asked an experianced convict cichlid Breeder and asked him what might be a good good size tank for 2 pairs of convict cichlids and he said ten gallons as juvies and 20 for adults. i went and had a look at his tanks and believe it or not he had 4 tanks 1 10 gallon with 2 male 3inch convicts and 2 female 2 inch convicts and a 20 gallon with the same but they were all 4 inches. the other two were 30 gallons and had the same but the males were 6 inches and the females 4.5 inches. i was shocked. then i read a forum and a guy had two adult pairs in a 15 gallon with no issues.
my question is would be able two have 2 pairs of convict cichlids in a 29 gallon tank if i got them as juvies
i could eventualy get rid of one of the pairs if it turns into war.
do you think it might work
the dimensions are 24inches x 18 inches x16 inches

if you do , IMO , you will have a war zone...my 2 pair were in a 75 gal and I had to remove the males because it was a constant war....I cant imagine 2 pair in a 10 or 20 gal ...ill garuntee there were deaths and if not, those fish had to be under constant stress...

Wow, I have one pair in a 20 gal., and one pair in a 55 gal.
IMO, multiple pairs of breeding cichlids really shouldn't be kept together. They are too aaggressive when spawning.
