Another question Hahahahahahahaha
My convict pair are occasionaly having little bicker with each other. nothing to worry about but i think i know what it might be.
The tank they are in is really tall but has hasnt got much room on the foot print side of things. my question is i have a 5 gallon tank that is over a foot long and is alot more roomeir and is sitting there doing nothing. do you think i would disturb there nesting if i stuck them in a larger tank. it has got alot of rocks in there and a PVC pipe and one plant with a filter that does the tank 14 times an our. ohhhh and it does not have a light. do they need one ?

these guys really need a 20 gal not a 5 long or 10 tall...the 5 doesnt give them enough water as these fish will get over six inches..smaller tanks are so much harder to keep prestine with babies...the 10 tall as you say, doesnt give them the room to get away from one another when they have tiffs...even as a pair, they will argue as most couples do

if you truely want to breed cons, invest in a 20 gal setup for them to breed in ...and yes IMO they do need a light like all fish

Not necessarily 6" or even over, but definitely get a 20g AT LEAST. Anything smaller and you will end up with conflicts as the fish grow larger like Shawnie stated, and possibly one or both seriously damaged/injured.

And the babies are quickly getting there.
