can i put a pleco in with my convict and there babies? 20L tank.

no way they will tear him up..been there and it wasnt fun ..even with the plec hard skin, they got his fins just overnight

A 20L tank is just under 6 gal US size. You hardly have room as it is for your convicts and babies and there really is no Pleco that is going to be small enough even on its own to fit that tank. Im afraid your tank is just too small for a Pleco.

o wow I read that as a 20g oops....but even in a 20g, the plec would be attacked to no end..

I have a 20 gallon were my female spawned,I removed dad,cuz he is not needed,my pleco in there is about 7 inches long,I put a collection of ornament together on one side with a half log underneath them for him to hide in during the day,and placed her clay pot at the other side.I have gotten away with no problems from her,but it is really a hit or miss situation and how agressive your parents are.Even the mildest female is a pit bull when she has babies.

He's from the US so I'm thinking he's saying he has a 20 long. that was my understanding but Shawnie is right convicts will terriorize anything that's in the tank with them if they are a breeding pair. They are best left alone IMO.
