Two male Convicts

If I put two male convicts together in a 30 gallon without any females, is that pretty much spelling disaster?

I like the looks of the males more then the females, and i dont want to deal with baby convicts all the time.

So unless two males get along i guess i would have to get all females.

If they are all by themselves then chances are there is enough room that they'll be okay. I am not sure though.

Convicts are so aggressive, and adding two males in your 30g tank may not be a good idea. Even if you only have one convict in your tank with other fish, that one convict will be a terror to all the rest of your fish. Two IMO is double the trouble.

i'm with capekate, one male and one female would be fine, or all females, but two males is definitely asking for trouble.

It depends, if you have lots of rocks, pants, and other decor that should serve as territory markers it could be okay, but it also depends on the individual fishes personality, some may be more aggressive then others and less inclined to share.

the only cons ive ever had get along, are mating pairs...once they grow up , they all become terrors LOL...they are not good community fish unless they are with bigger cichlids to keep them inline...
