| Cichlids for a cichlid Dear Friends,
I posted this question as a reply to my own thread last week, but don't think anyone looked at it, so thought I'd try again.
I'm the one who has successfully bred a pair of convict cichlids in under a month of setting up her first tank, and then promptly killed (an accident, I promise, guv!) my female.
Looks like Daddy is going to bring these fry up to be fish, so that will be my next problem (how to get rid of 70 little convicts), but once they're all gone and Daddy is all alone again, I was wondering what kinds of fish I might put with him other than another female convict.
I was thinking firemouth, for one. A salvin's cichlid (nandopsis salvini) sounds of equal size and temperment, too. Could I have one of each in the 125-litre (27 gallon) tank with the Convict and the bristlenose plec (who hides all day)?
Any other suggestions?
