| info on aquariumfish.net Anyone that has ordered online from or has considered ordering from the site aquariumfish.net please read this thread! Especially read page 6 of the thread about their warranty!!!! This is a complete scam and is designed so that no responsible fish owner could ever get their money back. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums...d.php?t=181598
Also, I apologize in advance if there is any inappropriate language in the thread, I have not posted here, and just to clarify this has nothing to do with FishLore, just a warning to all that should be spread around. Last edited by agabr123; February 6th, 2009 at 11:59 PM.

I have made all of my online purchases through aquabid and make sure the seller has 100 percent feedback with at least 40 transactions. |

| yeah for real!!! i have to order certain products online that just simply arent available anywhere near where i live (believe me.....i've made LOTS and lots of calls)...and it's so frustrating to find places like this. luckily i've never ordered anything live online, and the only time i've had fish shipped was from karen whom i completely trusted to do what was best for her fish.
i hope that this thread circulates, and that everyone hears about this. the warranty thing is what baffles me the most. seriously?!?!?! if the fish look dead, i should dump them in my tank anyways?!?!? oooooooooookay.......... |

| Wow.... yeah, not the best way to run a company. Provided that she is keeping all coraspondence they've pretty much done themselves in. |

| Hmm I was curious so I went to their web site and was reading his tips for acquiring fish from him....he recommends NOT quarantining the fish you buy from him. Now who would recommend not quarantining fish? Even if the fish are healthy to start with the stress of shipping and a new home could bring on problems such as ick if nothing else...this guy is a joke!!! |

| Aquariumfish dot net gives absolutely horrible advice regarding a lot of fish. I have, in the past, seen info regarding bettas not needing heaters or filters, goldfish doing well in tiny spaces, etc... I would never order anything from them. |

| Yes - and here is an example - since agabr123 posted this i went to the site and started reading. Checkout this recomendation on water changes: http://aquariumfish.net/information/essentials_p2.htm#3. A certainly different take on chloramines and in slight PPM potentially benificial. The same with aqaurium salt and its use. Alot of thier information in regard to pathogens and suppresion of pathogens differs with conventional wisdom.
I am glad you posted this site agabr123. A number of other forums have similar disturbing threads regarding these guys.
This is even better about not using test kits - just eyes and nose: http://aquariumfish.net/information/..._eyes.htm#top2 Last edited by lew2000; February 7th, 2009 at 02:13 PM.

Cigar smoke? What the heck? |

| Oh my goodness!!!..These people are scamers..Too bad there are bad companies out there. I think we should all use the email address provided on the other fourm on page 5 to let them know fish keepers in general are noticing their unfair business practices. |

| i know, i am absolutely appalled by this!!!!! you'd THINK that they would want people to have healthy fish, so that they would buy from them again! i realize that they probably think that if the fish die then people will just order a replacement, but eventually people are going to realize that the fish they are getting are sick and they can't get a refund due to their ridiculous warranty agreements. |
