Cockatoo Cichlid Photos

Use this board to post your Cockatoo Cichlid photos. I'll keep it stickied towards the top of this forum. Comments on photos are welcome, but please move side-conversations to another post.

Thanks,
Mike

Please use your own photos, and not material from the internet.

Please post your photos as attachments, rather than links.

While your compliments on the photos are really appreciated, text-only posts will be removed after a while to keep the gallery pictures-only. If there is a discussion you do not want to loose, please start it again in a separate thread.

Thanks,
Armadillo

They are very beautiful fish. When I get enough room in one of my tanks, I am planning on getting a small school of them(maybe 3-4).

if you get 1 male and several females you could breed and sell them seeing as they are quite rare

If you had adult cockatoos I think you probably could. And as long as the tank is big enough for both of them to have their own territories.I have never had severums, but I know that they are suppposed to be peaceful. But I would make sure you have another place to keep the cockatoos if it does not work out.Mine were kind of expensive,$100 for the pair, that included shipping.I could not find any locally,so I ordered online.I was shipped 2 very young fish.Maybe 3/4 inch. And because I know severums can get big, they might eat such a small fish. But again I am not sure because I do not know anything about severums.
