Clown swimming laps

My new clown swims laps around the top of the tank since I brought it home, is this normal?

It's normal for fish to explore their new homes. Some fish hide, some don't. My clowns were out the moment they were in the tank, while my firefish took a few days to get comfortable and my triggerfish is still a bit timid, even after almost 2 months.

Mine still do this, 6 months later.

My clown hides under the overflow out spouts and has since the day I brought him home.

Don't worry, my yellow clown goby swims up and down the side of the tank and my firefish and clown take turns riding across the front of the tank from the current from one of my power heads. I guess fish just wanna have fun too.

Same tank, percula clown, no anemone yet, going to purchase one soon. Noone has them because of recent snow storm, slowed down shipments.

I had two before that never done this, but it's cool to watch. He seems content doing his little laps around the tank.

Hmm! Dont recall ocellaris/percula dashing around the tank yet, even w/o anemone. Only one might have shown similar behavior is Maroon Clown.
Is it eating well/readily? even so, just keeep close eye on it.
Does it show/shed any extra white slime on body?

It is eating and looks fine. He seems really content, just swims laps.
