Hello,
I have a pair of clowns in a 20 gallon long tank together. Recently I had a fish die in the tank and this caused an
ammonia swing. This ammonia swing caused the larger of the two clowns to stress and contract
ICH. I have finally managed, after 2 days of trying, to catch the bigger of the two and have it in
QT going under formalin treatment. The problem though is the smaller one has caught on to my attempts to catch it.
I have been using a 2 liter bottle with the top cut off and inverted so the fish swims in but cannot swim out. Inside the bottle is food to entice the fish in. I caught the big one using this but now the small one won't go anywhere and is hiding. Will he eventually come out and try to get the food in the bottle so I can catch him and keep him with the larger clown?
Likely the larger clown will be seperated for upwards of 3 weeks while I treat her for ich if I cannot catch the smaller one. Will this cause issues with the previous pairing they had?
I have not been able to find anything on this, so I am asking.
Thanks,
