question about clown fish

hi,
i have a 75gal tank (freshwater) and my sister would like for me to set up a 10gal saltwater tank but she wants clown fish in it. would it be really bad to put a couple of clown fish in the 10gal tank? should she just get a much bigger one? i was reading that you should put them in a tank no smaller than 30gals. how bad would it be to put 2 of these in a 10gal?

thanks for all your help.

Its doable....
Clowns arent really swimmers... theyll spend most their time in and around whatever they are hosting.. usually an anemone....
With that said... theyd be much happier in a 30.
having 20 more gallons of water to swim in would make any fish happier.

Why not just do one clown? Aren't they territorial. I think thats why 30 gallons is needed for two unless they are a mated pair. I don't know a lot about clowns though so just something to think about.

They are territorial... more so against other species of clowns than they are towards the same species...
Personally, id do the 30 gallon... more water means a more stable system.... which means its less likely to crash than a smaller system...
Its pretty easy to pair them up...
Dont get them the same size though... If you do ... the risk of them fighting more is there....(theyll fight for dominance, theyll fight for who gets to be the female-the dominant one .. thats quite funny...)
If you get one slighty.. or bigger than the other.. the bigger one will become the male.. and the smaller one stay the male.. and you will hardly, if any, see any fighting between them.
Just my 2 cents.

thanks for all the info. what other saltwater fish would i be able to put in a 10gal tank? my sister wants something colorful and pretty and of course she wanted the clown fish because of the movie "Finding Nemo"
oh and she also wanted a "Dori" in it but i was sure she couldn't have one of those in the tank.
