They are territorial... more so against other species of clowns than they are towards the same species...
Personally, id do the 30 gallon... more water means a more stable system.... which means its less likely to crash than a smaller system...
Its pretty easy to pair them up...
Dont get them the same size though... If you do ... the risk of them fighting more is there....(theyll fight for dominance, theyll fight for who gets to be the female-the dominant one

If you get one slighty.. or bigger than the other.. the bigger one will become the male.. and the smaller one stay the male.. and you will hardly, if any, see any fighting between them.
