Hey all! Yep they are aptly named clowns because they sure are. My clowns all meet me at the front of the tank but it took patience and time for that to happen. Mine love shrimp pellets and thawed frozen blood worms. When you feed them if you drop their food up front and in the open they will have to come out to eat (and they will). You will even be able to sit quietly and watch them.
You can also stand with your hand in the tank holding food and eventually they will start to eat from your fingers. It will take awhile but well worth it.
since they've only been in the tank such a short time they are probably still settling in.
One of my small ones rubs against the biggest one or swims really close to it. when I was concerned I did some research and found out this is common behavior with clowns. It's called "shadowing" . The actions you describe are similar. Clowns are very social fish and I've noticed several significant interactions between the members of the group.
Sorry I'm rambling

as you can tell I love my Clowns.
If you haven't seen it already check this thread out.
