vertical swimming?

my 2 clown loaches just got over an ICH infection about 2 weeks ago. they seemed fine and active last week but this week they seem to be more shy than usual always hiding and when i do i catch them out they are usually swimming vertically in place. im concerned that something else may be wrong. overall my water seems ok and getting better; nitrites .1, ammonia .25, nitrate 30. water temp is still 84 but i was planning on starting to lower it tonight. im about to do another water change tonight too so im hoping they become a little more active as the water gets better. is this normal behavior for them? thanks!

You are showing some ammonia and nitrite readings. They could be feeling the affects, Clown's are sensitive, you need to be doing daily water changes until the tank shows ammonia 0, nitrIte 0 and nitrAte less then 20. I hope they feel better soon.

Hello. Along with your daily water changes, add some Prime or Amquel + to detox the ammonia until it's time for another water change. Even though you add one of these chemicals you will still get readings of ammonia but it won't be toxic. Best of luck!
