Should I get clown loaches?

I have so far in my 150g fresh water tank
6 tiger barbs
2 opaline gourami
2 pearl gourami
2 rosy barbs

They are all peaceful except when one of the TB lose his school and try to nibble someone but always fails

With a tank planted on gravel should i get some Clown Loaches if yes how much should i get?

Clown Loaches are wonderful fish that need to be in groups of at least three(more is better). Your tank would be great for them, they don't bother my plants although I give them floating veggie pellet at least twice a week. I have heard of them sucking holes in sword plant leaves but I suspect they were just looking for a bite of algae or greenery in their diet.
the are very fast swimming fish and need plenty of clear space to do this. if this sounds good to you then I recommend them for you. If you do get them i suggest they be at least 2 inches. tiny ones are very delicate and fragile health wise.
all loaches need the absolutely cleanest, highly oxygenated water they can get
Hope that helps. good luck!

If you bought all your current fish thursday I would wait at least two weeks to give your beneficial bacteria time to catch up. Loaches need to be added in a group instead of one at a time.
I just noticed your tank has just been set up. how did you cycle it? Do you know about the nitrogen cycle?

I would think your tank isn't cycled yet. holding off on adding more fish and doing a little research is the best kindness you can do for your fish at this point. Here's a good place to start.
Fishlore Articles for Beginners
Especially this article
http://www.fishlore.com/Articles/TheNitrogenCycle.htm
Do you have a water test kit? Most around here use API fresh water master kit.
Do You know what your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate readings are. if you have the LFS test for you ask for the number levels. Most will say the waters ok whether it is or not so you will buy more fish. If the Ammonia and nitrite levels are high you can lose fish fast

your tank isn't cycled. Ammonia at that level is very toxic. Please do a large water change immediately. Continue to do water changes each day until it comes down. When the tank has cycled(grown enough beneficial bacteria to handle the bioload) your ammonia will be 0, Nitrites will be 0 and you will have a Nitrate reading.
Yes you definately need to wait on the loaches or any other fish Sorry
what are you using to test with? Keep us posted on how the tank is going please

Glad the ammonia is down. Keep testing about every other day. It usually takes 5-8 weeks to cycle a tank unless using a product like Tetra Safe Start. It has beneficial Bacteria like your tank needs to cycle immediately.
Did you have time to read those articles I suggested ? They will help you understand more about what I'm trying to explain
I definitely wouldn't add any fish until your tank is finished cycling.

clown loaches are great, get at least three as mentioned above and put them in last after your tank is fully cycled, they are very peaceful playful fish full of personality, but also are scaleless meaning they are very prone to ICH and sensitive to medications, so be sure and read all med directions carefully before adding to a tank with clown loaches

Yes 150g would be great for three clown Loaches. Keep testing your water so you can know when It's cycled

Yes they get really big. they seem to have a growth spurt the first year you have them then slow down and grow very slowly. They are also heavy waste producers, regular poo machines.
