my malaysian trumpet snails have had a population explosion, is it right that clown loaches will eat these? any help would be appreciated. sorry just seen ive put it in the wrong forum completely.

Yes clown loaches eat snails, What size tank are they going in as they get over 12" big, Yoyo loaches also eat snails and stay smaller but both of these loaches need to be in groups.

at the moment they are in a 4ft tank, i bought 2 of them and there abt 2 inch long at the mo

That should be fine. Make sure to add plenty of hiding spots and use sand or smooth gravel.

i'm not sure how many gallons are in your tank, but just one clown loach will need at least a 75 gallon tank. also, they really need to be in groups of at least five, but i wouldn't put that many in anything less than a 250-300 gallon tank. personally i would return the clown loaches and get something smaller such as a yoyo loach
