Good Foods???

Has anyone found a food their loaches are particularly fond of? I heard they'll make a clicking noise if they like the food, and I really want to hear it! LOL. actually I just want to be feeding them well. Thanks!

So I want to ask another question about the "Clicking" noise I was talking about above... Has anyone heard this sound I fed my fish a little different thing tonight, and while I was on the computer (right next to the tank) I heard a clicking sound. If anyone has heard this please let me know. Is it loud I'm a bit excited to find out if this is what I heard. Thanks again!

My clown loaches love shrimp pellets! They attack them. They click like crazy. The clicking sound sounds like they are banging a piece of gravel on the glass. It is pretty loud. they will also clear your tank of snails in a hurry.

You want to have a good staple food like new life spectrum or Omega One to start with, and then supplement with other stuff. My yo yo loaches are very fond of Omega One's veggie wafers. They actually contain salmon in them, and the loaches go nuts over them.

YAY! I did hear the clicking then... I'm not sure what it was that made them do it, and they only did it once, but I'm excited they did it at all. Do I just look for shrimp pellets at the LFS?

Shrimp pellets come in many different brands. You can probably find the Wardley brand at Wal Mart. I would suggest you go with a better quality brand like Omega One shrimp pellets if you can find them. The food at Wal Mart can sometimes sit there awhile and be stale. I bought some tubifex worms at WalMart and my fish wouldn't touch them. They were the Wardley brand. Then I got some Hikari and Omega One brands and they went nuts over them. Same goes for the shrimp pellets and veggie wafers.

Yeah, my girlfriend bought some of the Werdly shrimp pellets from wal-mart, and they seem to like them kinda, but I will try the omega brand to see if they are any better. Thanks again!
