My husband came home with a Clown Loach for my 37G tank.
I have read that they shouled be in groups of 4-6 and that they can get up to 12"+
I have a planted tank.
Should I tank it back?
I have a school of 15 gold tetras, 7 danios, and 3 swardtails.

Clown Loaches are truly amazing fish and everything you've heard is true. If you cannot/or choose not to provide companions of it's own kind and a larger tank it would be wise to take it back.

When their alone they tend to hide and don't usually display the classic clown loach behaviour. Even one will out grow your tank in a years time. Mine got six inches the first year. Their growth does tend to slow down after the first year.
