I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank, it has been up and running with fish for about 5 months. I always perform regular water changes and check water chemistry. Within in the last two weeks I have noticed green cloudy water, does anyone know what to do?

all i can think of for a mystery algae prob is complete blackout for 3 days. be interesting to know whats caused it though if nothings changed lately. do you have any algae eating fish to help keep on top of it?

how many fish do u have? i think it's an algae bloom. may b u r overfeeding your fish or may b u r overstocked. u can perform 50% water change, feed your fish less food and leave the tank lights off for a few days.

I have 55 gallon tank with 4 fancy gold fish so I'm not overstocked. And I never overfeed.
