How long Cloudy Water?

I'm sure this question is probably asked ten thousand times a day. But how long is the white cloudy water supposed to last? Mine has been hanging around for at least a week, despite the 25% and sometimes 50% daily water changes. Is that normal?

What are your h2o perameters?
From reading your aquarium info you're using dip sticks for testing. I find they are not accurate, I would use the API master test kit.

How much do you feed your fish in the tank? Some cloudy water is caused by overfeeding. This cloudy water could be a bacteria bloom. May I also ask, what are your water parameters?

it is normal with the goldies in the tank...especially while you are still cycling....keep up with the water changes and minimal feeding, and it should get better as the tank cycles...but as advised before, the bioload of the goldies sometimes make it harder in smaller tanks to keep the water prestine...good luck!

Leave it a week or so and if it doesn't clear try using CLARITY, it worked for me when all else failed. Good luck

clarity worked great for you and im glad
the op is doing awesome, but this tank is NOT cycled...(yours was though if I remember correctly gunner?) so clearing up the cloudyness with clarity, still leaves a major underlining issue for the goldies of a tank uncycled ....

Don't feel bad. Actually I had the tank for about three weeks now. Just last week it started getting cloudy white. Shawnie has an excellent memory and remembers my older posts. You're a great adminstrator Shawnie!

Anyway I have a fifteen gallon tank for one goldfish. (I now know she will eventually get too large for it) I last tested two days ago with several high quality liquid testers. Amonia is 0. But my nitrates are also 0. It seems to be taking a long time for my tank to get cycled. However Molly (my gold fish) though very shy seems to be in good health. This fish has survived a dead tank-mate, being sucked up a filter, a slow cycling tank, and human spit. (... a long story and the subject of another post.) Just goes to show you what love and some daily work can produce.
