Whats Wrong ??

hello,
i came home today and turned the lights on in the tank and it was a bit cloudy... whats wrong, its just happend instantly

Dependant on what substrate you have, it may have been kicked up if a filter output was changed.

If not, check the ammonia levels.

im in the middle of an ammonia explosion ... but its coming down with all the waterchanges and i use ammo lock. the substrate is play sand

It may be a mix of the two, especially as you'll be kicking up sand with the w/c's.

Hello Zeek. Continue with daily 30 to 50% water changes and using your ammo lock until you have 0 ammonia. (I've never used ammo lock before I assume it detoxes ammonia.) Any idea as to what caused your ammonia spike?

as ken suggested, keep up with the water changes and it will go away ....use a plate or something to pour your new water over so you dont stir up the sand each time..but the cloudiness is normal for a tank that is cycling

its gotten so bad i can hardly see the back... the fish are very coulerful ?? like they enjoy it lol, im doin waterchanges like you said ken

are you using something to catch the new water when you pour it in the tank? otherwise, it will stay cloudy at every water change by stirring up the sand...
