How often do you change your carbon? Maybe new carbon insert can clear up the water. I personally have never even fed my fish with frozen brine shripm, only with frozen bloodworms. What I do with my frozen bloodworms is: I take them out of the freezer and put them in a refrigerator a couple of hours before feeding. After that, the bloodworms are soft, fresh and not spoiled. And I do not drop the whole little package in the tank, but feed the fish with some of them at a time, and see when they've had enough. This way nothing stays on the bottom and they (bloodworms) don't decay and pollute the water.

Doing another water change will probably clear your tank up. You may even have to rinse your filter to get bits of food out. Whats making your tank cloudy and smell is the liquid frozen with the shrimp, even blood worms have this also. I know the package says just to drop frozen food in to feed your fish. This is what I do, the ones in individual servings I put in a small glass of water to thaw, then dump it out into a small net and then rinse with dechlorinated water and blot with a paper towel. Isabella has the right idea ,then feed a little at a time. I use brine shrimp, blood worms and occasionally beef heart. Hope that helps.
