Seasonal cloudy water? Pollen and plant matter?

My 55 gallon tank has been cycled for about 6 months now and the water has always been crystal clear - I live in MN and started the tank in the winter - now that it is summer my tank has been getting very hazy.

Looks white/grey cloudy - my local LFS said this is normal in the summer with all the pollen and humidity. He said to try to keep my windows closed and use the air conditioning when possible - the temp in my tank has always stayed at 77 because I always run the AC if the outside temp is above that. I now am keeping me window closed in the room the tank is in regardless is the ac is on or not

I've been watching my levels with an API liquid test kit daily and all have stayed solid at 0-0-20 ph7.8 - my eheim canister filter has a double layer of fine polishing pad at the end and they are still white right now. I do weekly 15% water changes which will temporarily help clear up the hazyness.

My fish seem to not care and are eating and behaving normal

Is this really just something I'm gonna have to live with? Is my lfs correct in saying its caused my pollen and other plant matter? Anybody else from MN have this problem? Anybody think a particle clumping additive will help?

This time of year the water company will put many chemicals into the water to treat it. Could be something they added.
Not sure how big your tank is or what is in it, but if it were me I would do a bit bigger water changes than 15% weekly.

Yeah I did not think of that - its odd that water changes partially clear up the tank for a day or two though.

Its a 55 gallon tank - I change 10 gallons a weeks, I'm not sure why I would need to do more as my nitrates stay at <20
