Why is my aquarium water cloudy

ok my aquarium water is cloudy and i thought well maybe something didn't happen in the nitrogen cycle so i let it sit for like 4 weeks... well its still murky . i dont know how to post a picture but if you can tell me how to i'll post a pice of my tank. i don't know the readings to my tank well because i lost my test kit and i'm probably going to the store sometime this week so i'll post it later. but my tank is a whitish color at the top and a green color in the middle and clear at the bottom any help would be nice.

I agree with Toxic....Don't panic it should go away on it's own before too long. Be patient. Do you have carbon in your filter? If not, you should add some.

you might wish to attempt dosing with Excel and no lights for a day or so, and as mentioned.... AC

that i wouldnt do untill you know the perameters of your tank. if its safe go ahead and add a pleco or a algea eater loach and continue to cycle for another 2 weeks. this should get rid of any problem. as for the fact that it is a 65 gallon i would add 2 or 3 if there small but if there at least 2 or 3 inch each i would only add 2 they could add to much of a bioload and put your tank backwards in the cycleing procces
