Cloudly Water after water change.... help?

I had my 10 gallon setup for about a month now, I have 7 neons, 4 platies and 2 corys. I had just changed the gravel completely and now my tank is pretty cloudy, I had rinsed off the gravel before using it. Could this likely be the cause of the cloudy water?

Cloudy water after a month. Sounds like the reason I joined. Your tank is probably reaching the end of the nitrogen cycle. If it's white cloudy, it's probably just a bacterial bloom. It will possibly get worse (my water had about 6" of visibility for half a day), but not for long.

What is the result of your water tests? Why did you change your gravel? Gravel is one of the areas that hold the bacteria necessary for your nitrogen cycle.....so changing it cut the amount of bacteria you had started to get in your tank....

You are likely in the start of some rough times if you don't pay strict attention to the water quality. Good Luck....

Susitna-flower is correct. You might be going through a mini-cycle since you changed your gravel out. Most of the bacteria is found in the gravel and you rinsing the gravel probably killed a lot of that bacteria, meaning there isnt enough bacteria to eat the full amount of ammonia in your tank.

Daily water changes of 20-25% and keep testing your parameters. If all parameters are reading good, then one or two water changes a week are all you need and the cloudiness will go away on its own.

Whatever you do, dont add algae remover to your water, it will kill all of your fish.

This happens to me to. This has occurred because of the chlorine in the water you have replaced. I do not think it is because of any bacterial cycle. Did you use any chlorine and heavy metal neutralizer. If not add some and it should clear up. Also you are really over stocked.

Yeah good point, you are way overstocked for a 10 gallon tank. If you cant get a bigger tank, you might want to atleast get another filter system.
