using iced tea jug for water changes

I just finished a jug of Lipton Iced Tea. Can I use that jug for water changes? If so how can I clean it? Should I use soap? Bleach? Just water?

Thanks.

I use one that I clean in the dishwasher and just rinse it very well again before use.

If you feel the need for some kind of cleansing agent, I'd suggest bleach over soap or the dishwasher, just because it's SO hard to clean the soap residue off (especially that no-spot glass soap stuff). Bleach can easily be removed with rinsing and water conditioner doses.

thanks for the advice but since it just had tea in it I'll just rinse it with warm water a couple times. the bleach/water mixture does sound like a good idea though.

I use a gallon water jug for topping off water changes. Might be easier to just go get a water jug so you don't have to worry about cleaning out any left over tea.

Iced Tea is organic....just rinse the jug well, while fresh and it will be ok to use....forget the bleach...IMO no need to add chemicals to it.
