So, after stocking my seventh tank this weekend (talk about MTS right?), I've decided that it was time to invest in a python for the water changes, because I'm sick of carrying the buckets. I've already ordered it and it's on the way (my LFS doesn't sell them). I've heard that the members that have them love them, but I just wanted to ask if they're really as straightforward as they're made out to be? Didn't know if anyone had had trouble with them fitting onto the faucet or anything.

Oh, yeah... Im one of them who had issues with the python because we have new type of faucets. Wouldn't work for me. There are fittings for most of the faucets.
I hope it works out for you.
I don't have to use buckets though (for the 55 gall). We did manufacture an attachment to the shower head and i use a hose from that.
The g10 gall is right next to the kitch sink, so that's not a biggy.

I actually replaced my faucet to fit my python. Sad? Maybe, but i love my fish!

I use them for the 200 cichlid tank mostly, and yes they are pretty much straight forward. THe only thing that you need to make sure like previously mentioned is that they do fit.

Hopefully my faucet will be alright...I think they're pretty normal. I hope so at least...I'm pretty sick of carrying buckets to my 75 :P
