Correct ph

So I have these Jungle Correct pH tablets...I know it sets the ph to 7 and all but what do they mean when they say it "buffers your water"?

Thanks in advance for the help

It means it makes your water the correct PH

Good morning. I highly recommend not using any chemicals to adjust your pH levels. They are too unstable and can lead to a pH crash, resulting in the loss of a lot of fish. There are other ways, naturally to raise and lower your pH. Normally the pH that comes from the tap (with chlorine removed) is fine and the fish will adapt if they are acclimated properly. Here are a couple of links you may find helpful. Best of luck!

Thanks for the suggestion but the thing that I've been using proper ph 7.0 on my 25g aquarium for a long time and the ph is pretty stable. Also, my tap has very high ph since were on well water so I'm forced to use something to bring it down.(tap water ph=8.4). And BTW all I wanted to know is what do they mean when they say buffer the water at the same time.

Buffer = A substance capable of maintaining the relative concentrations of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions in a solution by neutralizing, within limits, added acids or bases.

I agree with aquarist....to lower the ph, get some driftwood and it will happen naturally with the tannis in it...buffers are too fast and unstable and most fish will acclimate to a stable ph more than a high or low one...jungle correct tabs would be a too drastic change and might hurt the fish babies...if you add the driftwood, and do partial water changes with maintenance schedules, it shouldnt rise that fast unless you do a major water change...
