I feel maybe a little silly asking this question, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
With my previous airstone it kept getting pulled out of the gravel. I never figured out exactly why... but the cories aren't exactly graceful, so I figured they were bumping it and it was coming out.
So to solve this problem I used a piece of duct tape (I swear that stuff fixes everything) to hold the air line in place at the back of the tank. That worked great; but since replacing my air stone with a wand I no longer needed it, and pulled it off.
Now I'm left with some adhesive from the duct tape. I do not have any razors on hand. What can I safely use on the OUTSIDE of the glass to remove this? I did a little googling and found that acetone (which I have), and straight vinegar (I only have white wine vinegar) might remove adhesive (and peanut butter if you can believe it). I also have your standard glass cleaner, which has
ammonia in it. I ALSO have straight ammonia (hooray for the dollar store). Which of these things, if any, can I safely use on the outside of the tank that will also remove the adhesive? I could pick up some razor blades later but I'm tired of looking at the adhesive; and I was wondering if I could just use something else.
