The answer may be "obviously yes".

That's what my "common sense" tells me. However, my success in fishkeeping so far relies in my ability to ask questions without paying too much attention to what seems to make sense but still leaves some doubt in me.

In general acryllic scratches more easily than glass, so I suppose a pad made for acryllic would be less abhrasive, so its still good for glass.
