Do you/How to heat tank water before adding to the rest of the tank

hi,
When you do a water change do you have to heat the water up to the temperature in your tank before adding it??

If you do, how do you heat it up

Thanks

Yes, it should be the same temp.
I just adjust the temp. of the water coming out of the tap.

I just use warm water out of the tap and I bought a cheap pool themometer to check. Then I add cold or hot to get it right. I wouldn't use a pool thermometer that has actually been in a pool.(Due to high chorine in pools)

I prefilter, chemically treat and warm the water in a separate tank.

We just use our tank themometer and adjust the tap water until it is the right temp... I imagine if you have a spare heater you could just pour the water ahead of time and warm it up that way.

To be perfectally honest, the change in temperature won't be THAT much. So if you put in say water at 20degrees, it should be enough to prevent a cold shock. Don't put in WARMER water though
