How much salt

Hi, i am wondering how much aquarium salt should i put in my 90 gallon freshwater tank with the fish that i have. I heard that i should put one table spoon for every five gallons is this correct or should i add more or less

personally i dont use salt in any of my FW tanks, it really isn't necessary unless you have mollies or platies and that is debatable. also, my cories and bettas are very sensitive to salt in particular, so depending on the type of fish i would say no salt

I've read that you only add salt when you have live bearers.

I dissolves away. When you preform a WC it should get rid of some or all.

water changes gets rid of the salt

I have a live bearer tank with lots of babes and never used salt......within a 60 mile radius around me, ive hit up every pet store I can find..and NONE of them use salt with their live bearer's(guppies, mollies, platies, etc) as its not cost worthy and they use it only on their brackish tanks now....

I believe some bichirs (amazing looking fish!) might need some salt but please confirm this info. Freshwater barracudas? wow, never heard of that species. Please post some pics!

I am a bit concerned about the long term compatibility of your actual stocking. As for the salt, I don't think your Angelfish, Silver Dollars and Pleco would like it at all. I don't use salt, just bought some for emergencies (and of course my coming brackish projects).
