my tank has been set up for about 2 months now. the water has suddenly cahnged to be a little cloudy and smells awfull! i am about to do a water change ( i hope that helps)! here is my inhabitants for my 20 gal freshwater tank

1 golden inca snail
5 neon tetras
2glo light tetras
3 glofish
2 cory cats
( i know this is slightly overstocked but my research said it would be ok.
please help us.

What are your readings for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates (before the water change)?
A water change, vacuum and rinsing the filter media in used tank water should help the odor.
