I never lift a bucket, pail or jug to empty or refill the aquariums.

All you need is hose long enough to go out a door or window,of a diameter that fits your vacuum hose barb. Vacuum gravel (or leave out of gravel for water change without vacuuming) let water run into garden.

Hose to fit water faucette of sink,or outside faucette. Refill, add conditioner to stream of water going into aquarium.Simple

Hmm...I guess I thought I had to treat all the water..I mean mix it in a bucket or something..But you can just add however much conditioner to the stream and then let the rest run in there untreated and it will mix in the tank??..I gotta do this.

The water conditioner acts like a magnet, and works instantly, the second it touches the chlorine/chloramine molecules. You pour it into the stream, when the chemical is present it bonds to it,same with heavy metals.

You can test it easily. Put chlorine from a pool into water (samll clear glass) pour in the dechlorinator. You will notice it working immediately. You can use bleach to test it as well. replace the chlorine, with bleach add the dechlorinator, notice how quickly the smell dissipates.

Do you know how much time you just saved me..lol...God bless you....Well I'm going to get some hose tomorrow and some connectors and have my hubby rig it all up...I was ready to spend however much on a python..Surly this is cheaper.

When using the Python or similar and adding conditioner to the stream, how much do you use? Enough for the water you're replacing or enough to condition the total tank gallons? Thanks,

Mike

I went to Home Depot and bought a little attachment that screws onto my kitchen faucet and I attach a simple garden hose to fill tank with clean water. I add enough prime for the amount of water I'm adding. I also bought a little attachment to connect my vaccum hose with a longer garden hose for water emptying.

Basically I just went to Home Depot, grabbed one of the workers and told him exactly what I wanted to do and he helped me find all the little hardware I needed. Spent less than $20 as opposed to $70-$80 that I would of spent on a Python!

You add the amount of conditioner for the amount of water that is being replaced.
