What am I missing in glass cleaning?

I am going nuts about a seemingly obvious and simple problem: adequate aquarium glass cleaning for taking neat pictures.

I confess here I hesitated on asking this particular question, since I find it so stupid I guess I feel like one posting it, and I've been around Fishlore for some time already.

My dearest wife gave me great a gift recently: a very good digital camera (Panasonic Lumix 10.1 megapixels) as she saw me struggling with an old model I had before.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I keep getting unwanted "dirt" in the glass most times I take pics, specially if I use the flash. The type I am having a hard time getting out of the way is made of "wiping lines" left in the outside part of the glass whenever I use a glass cleaner and wipe the glass with a cloth, as well as not-so-tiny spot-like particles I have no clear idea where they come from since they seem not visible to the naked eye -maybe some come from air or particles due to water movement inside the tank.

In the pic you can see what I mean: in the upper part you can notice the "wiping" lines; to the right the contours of dust left by the magnet cleaner are obvious (how should I address this?) and not identified dirt is all around.

What should I do to address this problems?

Use a good quality glass cleaner, like Windex and wipe with a dry paper towel until the streaks are gone. Sometimes I use the little cloths eye doctors give you with glasses. They work great.

You can use coffee filters to wipe the glass. They leave no streaks.Use a small circular motion while wiping = streak free shine.

I use a product I got from foster and smith call "Acrylic buffer-polisher" made by coralife-It works great on all my glass tanks-a little goes along ways too-I got the polisher cloths with it too. It helps repel dust and helps keep water spots and finger prints off too

I use an alcahol based glass cleaner, like you get at autoglass stores, it works very well, DOESNT CONTAIN ammonia. I have heard different stories, but i can say from personal experience that windex can hurt a tank, it happened to me and thats why I wont use it anymore.
