How much are vacuums?

My friend just got a 10 gallon tank, and I'm helping her out and walking her through the steps and all. She doesn't have a gravel vacuum, and since mine came with my tank, I'm not sure how much it is. Does anybody know how much a small gravel vacuum in Florida?

You can get them at Walmart for cheap I imagine.

depending on the size the smallest you can get is roughly $6 at my local petsmart. It's a topfin brand but it works well for all my tanks including my ten gal.

If you have a Big Al's Aquariums anywhere around you, that should be better.

They have everything at warehouse prices. I bought fishes there for a good deal 3 for 9 dollars.

Although I know that America is different from Canada... they have a lot more to offer than in Canada

It depends on the size.

of course it does, but mine is only a small one! :P

You are a lot cheaper over there than here - It is reflected in all prices and subsequently earnings/wages etc...

Mine cost me $12 I think it was, though it is a decent sized one. It's a topfin brand, but I don't care so long as it does the job lol.

The one we got for our 29 gal was 11 dollars, but it's almost as long as our 10 gallon and barely fits in the smaller tank. 10 Gallon size ones are around 7-8 Dollars here in PA.

You can always make 1 yourself. Easy, get a plastic container (cup,) ,tubing, silicone.

cut a hole in the plastic cup barely smaller than the tubing.Force the tubing into the hole, and silicone around it.Wait for the silicone to dry, then vacuum away.
