Start a Siphon Video

The 1-2-3 Video is good but I found this works much better... Let me know if it works for you! And no, the fish don't get shaken up. You don't even have to move it up and down that fast/much. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing it.

The reason Kate made the video was so people could avoid shaking the tube up and down.

In the video you linked to, did you notice the turbulence the shaking motion created in the water?
Now imagine your fish in that water getting tossed around. It stresses the heck out of them. Especially those of us with smaller tanks.

Thanks Lucy. I actually tried this way, my fish didn't get tossed around at all. I watched to make sure. This way seems much easier than the other way. I tried it, couldn't get it to suck.

It took me a while to get the hang of it. lol

What works well for one isn't always what works for another as long as we're keeping our tanks clean.
