Broken Python

Has any one else broken their python by tightening the hose onto the pump part?? There is a little part that screw on the inside that looks like a funnel. I always tighten the hose onto the pump part and I ended up breaking off that little piece. To get that one little piece you have to buy the whole pump at 7-8$ each..I wanted to make sure that I wasnt going to break it off again so I bought a quick connecter for a hose and atached that onto the hose and the pump...snap on snap off...easy peasy...lol.

Actually you can go to almost any hardware store and go the garden/pond area or even the water sprinklr fittings area and get these parts very cheap (and the PVC tubing) and you can actually make your own which is what i did - this way you can get the size(s) you want and even make your own crevice tools and other wands that are easier to manage in my opinion.

Where would you get the pump part?? I looked all over at hardware stores and couldn't find anything.

The funnel piece is part of the compression fitting for the hose - as far as the pump i am assuming you are refering to the adapter that goes onto the fitting on your sink faucet?
Sorry for my confusion - since when i used this (i used an adapetr that was for a waterbed - same device) i always left my hose connected to the adapter - the connector to the faucet should spin on independent of the adapter? Frankly imo these devices to clean are messy to use, and to maintain suction on the tank - since most tanks may not be much higher than the faucet - require the water left on to maintain suction and drain water from the tank since they work on gravity.
