I have heard lots of people talk about how great the Python Siphon is, but what do you do about dechlorinating water? Aren't you supposed to do that before the water is in the tank? or does the Python do something about it?

I add the dechlorinator to the water in the tank just prior to adding the new water

I add it while its going into the tank, or after its in the tank.

The python is AWESOME dunno if its worth the 80 bucks but it makes cleaning so easy, I just did my 10 gal and 55 gal in less than 10 minutes gravel vac and fill I lucked out and it was included with the 55 gallon tank i got (for free WOOHOO). The only part that drives me crazy is where it attaches to the faucet . its screws onto the faucet the opposite direction but at the same time there are 2 screw on pieces that screw the opposite way so as your screwing it on the faucet its unscrewing below it. I saw one on ebay for 45 so that may be your best cheapest route
