Cleaning the gravel in my aquarium

Hi,
I am new to keeping tropical fish so I am sorry if my question is a bit silly. How do people clean the gravel in their aquariums and does it effect the biological filter when you do clean it. The tank I have is a Jewel Triagon 190 litre which is quiet deep.

Thanks
Johnob

Hi welcome to Fish Lore

I use a gravel vacuum although my tank isn't as deep as yours.
They come in different sizes so maybe there's one that can accommodate your tank.
I haven't found that it effects my cycle. Some people choose to vacuum 1/2 one week and the other 1/2 the following week.

This question is actually in the wrong area of the forum, maybe a mod will see this and move it for you.

moved to appropriate forum section for you Johnob.
Lucy has it right... vacuuming the gravel will not affect your cycle as long as you do not over do it and clean EVERYthing at the same time.. that can send you into a mini cycle.
