The python seems like it would make life soooo much easier but I don't understand how you dechlorinate the water when you are running a hose from the sink directly into the tank. I have wondered about this for a long time so if anyone uses one and can tell me if I'm missing something I'd really appreciate it.

chlorine at the concentration it occurs in most public water systems is rather slow acting. The neutralizers are very fast acting in most cases. So what I do is run the python gravel cleaning and when ready to fill I add the amount of neutralizer I need and pump in the water. I have never had an issue doing it this way.

I have a measuring cup that I put dechlor in and flow the water into the cup and rinse it out over the tank and continue filling my tank back up.

I just put the aqua plus in while filling the tanks back up.

I used to pour mine in until I dropped the bottle of Prime in the tank, thats why I use a cup now LOL

Thank you. All your suggestions make really good sense. Maybe I was worrying a lil too much lol. I wonder how much trouble it would be to make one out of a waterbed filler thingy. Not sure where I would go to find one of those anyway tho
