EHEIM Battery Vacuum

I have not posted on forum since Sept 2007 after being outside the UK and away from my fish.

Unfortunately since I was away I lost my pride and joy male Firemouth Cichlid, 1 tiger barb, 1 green barb and 1 zebra danio (leaving 2 tiger barbs, 1 green barb and 3 zebra danios)

W/C were done regulary by my friend after educating him on cleaning, when I returned over 9 months later the tank had quite a lot of green algae & notably had a very large amount of dirt when the gravel was disturbed at this point I was not amused. Plus what live plants I had had also long perished all in all a real shame.

The fish show no signs of disease although one of the danios does not look 100%

After doing my own 20% w/c & finding it extremely difficult to remove the 'many' bits that had accumulated so i purchased an EHEIM vacuum at the weekend from an auction site which arrived today.

I would like to recommend this vaccum which has done a fantastic job of cleaning up my tank and it was effortless. Hopefully the remaining fish will soon be Happy Fish :-) and all being well over the next week or two I will look to add new fish - recommendations appreciated particulary on Cichlids
