best was to stir sand

any ideas on the best way to stir sand also ive heard certain snails do a fine job as well any thoughts?

MTS (Maylasian trumpet snails) are the best way. I've been using them - and they are fab! www.SnailShop.co.uk is where I got mine. The come in a cute little box! My tip is to buy the pack of ten, then put them all in your smallest tank. You'll get loads of babies - and you can 'harvest' them for your other tanks.

Yep they are really neat snails and they do a fine job. Otherwise you can stick your fingers down in the sand every few inches about once a week.
